Our Origin

MIEXAL is a trade brand that originated through FORTA Fabricaciones Ortopédicas Albacete, S.L. Its manager and founder, Francisco Sánchez Rodríguez-Acosta, worked as a factory director at one of Spain’s leading aluminum extrusion companies until 1996, when he established FORTA, a company dedicated to manufacturing technical aids (walking sticks, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) made of aluminum.

Since then, Forta has become a leading company in the orthopedic sector, manufacturing millions of products since its inception and boasting a strong brand image due to the high quality of its products.

Forta remains a family business where both Francisco and his three children work tirelessly to improve each day. With a team of over 60 people, its high production capacity and outstanding quality continue to make Forta stand out.

In 2022, leveraging Francisco’s extensive experience in aluminum extrusion, Forta fully immersed itself in the sector by installing a 650 TN press specialized in small or mini profiles, giving rise to Miexal. Since then, in addition to producing the necessary profiles for Forta, Miexal extrudes for many clients who value the quality and precision we guarantee.
